My lil Bro Alex arrives from Chi-town tomorrow morning. It’s been a while since we chill! Can’t wait to show him around…at least what i know so far. That also means we will be performing all week and next week. Its gonna be awesome. So starting this week I hope you plan to make it to one of our shows. They will be in Homestead, Downtown Miami, and possibly cooper city. There is a slight chance for West Palm beach show. On November 11th TSP will be leading worship at Life Pointe Church. Misfortunes make Giants Chapter 6

(the thoughts and stories I share in Misfortunes make giants do not necessarily represent nor reflect those of Life pointe church.)

It was 1979, my mother was working in a factory. My parents came to this country with nothing in pursuit of a better future for their children. Little did they know God had a perfect plan for them and for their kids. At times it seems there is no plan and we’re part of this planet by chance. It feels like we are no more nor less then an insect. We merely exist for the sake of existing. But that isn’t the case. At the time my mother was also 9 months pregnant. She was but weeks away from her due date. Well it turned out that this factory was going to be raided by the Immigration. As we are all aware, there are many immigrants that come to this country in hopes to find a better future. That was the case for my mom and dad. Though i won’t get into details on my view of immigration, the reality is that many people are thinking of the future for their kids. The countries they come from are not the greatest economically. So they come here to work the jobs many wouldn’t even consider. Anyhow, so my mom was working at this factory in order to make ends meet at home. It just so happens that on this day her place of employment would be raided. Many of her friends would be deported, including others she did not even know. My mother shares with me that  she patiently waited in a room to either be arrested or deported. At the time my mother was not an American citizen and she did not have all the legal documents necessary. All she knew was that she had to do whatever necessary to survive and provide the promise for her kids.

The officer walked into the room and saw my mother. My mother recalls the woman looking at her,  she was dressed in her law enforcement attire. The woman looked at my mom’s belly, made eye contact with her and told her to leave and go home. My mother didn’t hide, runaway, nor retaliate. She walked out the front door. When God has a plan for you, there is no need to hide nor be scared. He will do the necessary for you to walk out the door. (Picture thousands of Israelites walking out the front door being led by Moses..thats crazy!!)  2 weeks later  after the raid, I was born. 28 years later I am here fulfilling the plan God has for my life, the plan he had way before I was even created. In family, In ministry, and in music!

A few weeks back I asked my mom what was her job at the factory back in 1979. She said she, “I made guitar cases”.

Dream Team

I just gotta say I love my job! I have always wanted to be part of something that is impacting the world. My job title will always be “world changer”. There is nothing else to prove other than Jesus is the ultimate rockstar and artists. He’s on the top charts every week. Being able to put together these videos have been amazing. Being part of such an amazing community is kick Butt! Homestead/Miami is growing on me. Leaving wasn’t easy, but I am get a glimpse here and there of where God is taking me. He knows the desires of my heart, and knows what he has to do to get me ready for that day. I wanna do everything possible in this life to please Christ! I want to leave an eternal legacy of Jesus when I leave earth so that Diego and the rest of my children can carry the torch towards the new generation.  Things may not always be clear but faith is. What bothers us, doesn’t bother him. What we fear is no fear for me. What seems impossible for us, for him…Please! God will use the one thing we feel is vital and dearest to us to build character and dependence on him. We depend way too much on our own strength. Our bodies are but a  complex shell. God designed you, every fibre, muscle, cell and bone. He knows how it works cause he designed it. Don’t stress it, he knows what you need, what you don’t and what you can do without. Thats a scary thought cause nothing is impossible for him, and we’re the one’s sent to make it happen. Mother Theresa once said, “I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much.”

Having said that it is an honor and a privilege  to be able to work with Travis and Paul. To be part of this dream team is totally humbling.  These guys are top notch scotch! fierce! No fear! Take no prisoners! I’ve learned so much from these dudes in the months I’ve been here then people have in years…sorry I had to say it that way! They’ve been my Bible/ministry school and mentors. Its great chill’n with Giants, cause you start walking like them, talking like them, and dreaming like them. Everything revolves around the mission Of Christ!  They’ ve been totally supportive of the dream, God’s dream for me that is. Thanks fellas. “have you seen the movie office space?” Our office is nothing like that! I’m pitching the idea of a pool table, grill, foos ball table and Imac’ everywhere, in our next office! ha
