Moving, from the stage, is exciting news…

Well, we finally moved into our new place, the boxes are everywhere but at least we’re through the door. Especially my antique baby grand piano, that sucker was heavy. I gotta thank, Bill Finch, Mark Similey, Tom and Alex for helping me move. You guys are beasts. My beautiful amazing wife turned 28 yesterday as well, so wish her  belated birfday.  After all the work load was done last nigt,  we went out for dinner at Puerto Vallartas and had a great evening with some friends and familia. The fried cheescake is off the hook and the ying yang. Cool hanging with you Joe! Busy Busy weekend, but I am glad the moving is done.

Rain, rain, rain. It seems like it doesn’t stop, but a little rain didn’t stop our hardcore LPC people from rock’n this morning. We had an acoustic set this morning. We kicked it off with Wonder wall, moved on to a medley of Always greater, Better Days, and Did you feel the mountains tremble. After communion we closed with Holy is the Lord, and You’re love Oh Lord. It was really cool and lay back set. During our meet and greet time we rocked Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”. It seemed everyone enjoyed it. Travis rocked the sermon and challenged us to re-evaluate our hearts, our minds, and where our true treasure is. Money is always a touchy subject, but Trav brought it home with what it is…I’m excited about shifting some unnecessary things in my life…and living the life God intended me to live.

I received some amazing new this morning. It seems our “TSP” music has gotten all the way to Spain, and they are excited about having the band visit them sometime next year. That is exciting news!!!!

It's official…

Photobucket
After searching and searching we have finally found the person that will be producing our much anticipated album, “anthems for a broken world.” I’ve been listening to Jeremy’s music for quite some time. He’s got a very cool sound and seems to take many musical risks. A few months back I asked him if he would produce our record and it is finally official.

Sometime this winter we are going to head out to a studio somewhere in the United States, hide away and record the most amazing project TSP has ever done. We will have more details very soon. Anthems for a broken World will be a project very different from many before it. 100% of its proceeds and sales will go towards a mission project in Cambodia. If you wanna get involved, hit me up here on my blog, we’ll tell you how you can change the world. Sometime this fall you should see promotions for this project, some Documentary footage circulating the press, including some magazine layouts. We are so freakn excited about this. Make sure you go check out Jeremy Larson’s music and videos.

Familia…

You gotta love’m. I am finally back in the MIA from a weeks vacation in Chi-town. I gotta say we had a blast! I enjoyed Chicago more being away from it, then the 28 yrs I lived there. It’s always cool to go back to the root of everything and be reminded of where you are from and why you are the way you are.LOL. It keeps you grounded a bit. Obviously the best was chill’n with the family. Family is the only place you will ever fight, hug, scream, laugh, cry, and laugh some more on the same day. It’s the beauty of Family. That is when you know you are familia, when you can disagree, argue and minutes later we’re laughing about it, hug it out and then argue again. On Saturday we shared stories of growing up and how dysfunctional our upbringing was. I am so glad God had a plan for my life. FOR REAL!!!

Diego ran around like a mad man with his cousins, I got to see some extended family/friends, Momma’s in yo face cooking…Dang!!! There is nothing like family. I think there is a family chemistry in the making here in Florida. We fight, laugh, disagree and agree to disagree, dream and move forward with these guys…that is familia! I look forward to an amazing fall and winter. It was good to see who family really is on this trip! And who are becoming….

peace

Time's up…

Our vacation is coming to a close. Reina and I spent the day at six flags today and it was awesome. We felt like teenagers again. Teenagers with huge responsibilities. I definitely needed this vacation time, but its time to go back home and work! I can’t stress enough how much I miss my job, and how passionate I am about it. My brain needed this rest and now its time to hit it hard again. There are some major things in the making starting this Fall, with 3 services, a global music movement, and much much more. There ain’t no stopping this current! Be well.

From the Chi…

Well we are finally here. It’s been great catching up with friends and family. Last night we spent an awesome evening at Grant park. Every tuesday the Chicago Film festival hosts “Movie at the Park:. I will put some pictures from that later tonight. Diego had a blast, but crashed out on the grass around 9pm. Tonight we may be headed to Wrigley to cheer on the Cubs. This will be Diego’s first ball game ever.  That’s that. So far its been great, and great weather as well. I am glad to hear Tropical storm Fay wasn’t all that bad. That is a relief.

Last night I got a text telling me Leroi Moore, saxaphonist for the Dave Matthews band passed away last night. This was so sad to hear. I have been a fan of the Dave Matthews band since they’re very early Material. Leroi was one of the founding members. Read more about it here. Well people, see you around, hablamos despues.

Miami to New York In one day…

So I am here stuck in New York Laguardia. My flight is delayed again. Everytime I fly out of this airport I am delayed. Well it is really gloomy and rainy, maybe that is why. This was my final trip to New York. I’ve been coming out here since February. Its been really cool, and this coaching network has been an amazing experience.  I got to see some friends I haven’t seen in quite a while.

Back to this airport, this place is a circus right now. Lines everywhere, people screaming and complaining. I can’t wait to get back home. I’ve been up since 3am this morning. I drove myself to the airport and barely got on the flight to New York.  I was able to get Diego’s gifts  this time around and yes they are still with me and not wondering in the subway of New York somewhere.  That’s that. Gonna join the madness here and try to figure out what the heck is going on!!! See you Sunday.

The TSP Chicago Interview

Photobucket
Radio Art, a local Chicago radio station invited us over for an interview. Go here to listen to it HERE. We are the fourth interview in audio section. It was really cool. We sat in this house transformed into a Cafe. Very artsy and trendy. They had some great coffee there. Brent and I sat there for about 30 minutes and answered questions about the saturn project, our plans, our upcoming album, past experiences and getting involved in social issues. During one the questions you can hear Diego crying in the background. My voice sounds a little funny in the recording. It almost sounds as if I had a lisp. Maybe they should get a better Mp3 recorder. Anyhow, enjoy.
