A case of the Monday's…

Usually I am well rested but Due to the bears game, they’re victory and simply staying up late I am a bit tired today. Not to mention my throat is still burning and my head is hurting a bit…It’s a minor case of the Monday’s. Nevertheless, today is another day. Another chance to make it right, another opportunity to reach out and connect. Another day to dream, create and write what could be the next Song, story, film, poem, revolution. Today we head out to the keys and scope out our second site. Time to go back to the drawing baord. I’ll give you the 4 1 1 later. For now, focus on today and make it count.  You will never know until you give today a chance…I dare you to move…reach out…connect…and dream…anybody out there?

Here’s a Monday Farside for you…

My weekend, from the stage, let the cat out the hat…

PhotobucketPhotobucket
So Reina and I went out to Atlanta this weekend. My buddy Brent got married yesterday to Lyndsey. They’re the coolest couple ever. It was a very nice wedding. The families were awesome and we ate tons of food. I was one of the groomsmen and I also had to sing during the unity candle section of the wedding. I was so nervous, I didn’t wanna be the guy that screwed up the song at the wedding. To be remembered by everyone for the rest of my life would really suck. The great thing is, it was a great performance. Me and this guy rocked that stage, and in tuxedos. Stephen was an awesome musician, and we are in negotiations on having him Join the Saturn project. The guys is an amazing musician and one of the coolest dudes I have ever met…seriously good times.

Believe it or not, Reina, myself and Alex were the only LATINOS at the wedding. It wasn’t odd or awkard, more funny than anything. Not that this point matters, it was just hilarious to me… I got to meet some very cool people out in Atlanta while we were there…The houses are amazing in Atlanta, and mountains were beautiful…Only one problem…there was no gas…Seriously…every gas station was out of gas. Never seen anything like it.

Well, we flew back into town on our $9.00 dollar flights from Spirit Airlines, gotta admit it felt like a $9.00 flight. This morning was rock’n!!! The first service was just booming!!! You guys are hardcore!! Lets do it again next week and invite your friends. All 3 services were awesome, The production crew threw down, and the worship band sounded great. We had a Little technical scare minutes before we started the first service. The laptop would not start. Zech, the big brain scientist came in and did what we had been doing all morning…”The Start button”, but somehow it worked for him. The cat was let out the hat this morning. The big news is finally out.

Travis let everyone know what’s up, he also rocked his new bottle caps. They’re cool bro. Well the news is, We were given a church property out in the keys!! Yep. A FREE property!!! So now its time to spread the word out there as well. And that’s just the beginning…more news to come…just not yet. We’re gonna head up there tomorrow and scope the joint out. Exciting stuff in the making…We need you guys to step up with us, trust God and join in the movement we got going on For Jesus in South Florida. So I believe this place is in Isla Morada. I notice Trav pronounces it ( EYE-LA MORE -ADA.  Is it not (EEZLA-MORADA?). Just curious. Anyhow, we closed the Habakkuk series today. Powerful stuff, ” we need to REMEMBER” what God has done. That in itself is enough to move forward in this crazy life, just totally believing God will come through…That’s that. We launch off the new series “Art of War, this coming Sunday, come by ready to ROCK!!!! Any music requests? Hit me up!!!!

Baptisms were cool as usual. Alex got baptized today. It was cool to see my bro take the plunge again. To all of our “weekend with the santoyo’s viewers. We didn’t get to shoot any footage while in Atlanta…sorry.

The Bug bit me…

So it bit Diego, it bit Reina, and now it bit muah! My muscles are aching, my throat is burning, I have a stiff kneck(slept wrong), nose is stuffed. What else can I say. My buddy Brent is getting married tomorrow so I wouldn’t miss that for anything. So Reina and I are flying to Atlanta for a day and will be back on Saturday. I actually have to stand up in the wedding, wear a tux, sing in the wedding(if my throat is up to it). So it’s gonna be quite a wekend. Gonna get some rest and be ready to rock on Sunday!! See yah tomorrow.

Ants in my Pants…

I am anxious, excited, anxious, super excited, anxious, extremely excited to finally record. On Dec 1st, Alex, myself, Brent and a guest bassist will be heading out to an undisclosed (no paparazzi) studio in the United States to record The Saturn Project’s much anticipated album, “anthems for a broken world”. It’s gonna be awesome to step foot into a studio and do what we do best…make music! People have always asked why I don’t perform or do cover songs?….well

I’ve never been that good of a musician to play other amazing bands music. All I could do is create my own original songs to the best of my ability and hope it rocks and hope it makes the people dance. So this winter, we’re heading into this studio and capture the best of our best. The songs on this record are by far, some of the most intimate songs ever to me. They mean a great ton, and tell a whole lot about the past 10 years on this journey to destiny. So make sure you stay tuned this winter…it’s gonna be awesome.

The Challenge: What songs make the record? I don’t have a clue yet. I have about 40+ songs I have written and few others Alex has written and a couple of riffs Brent has created…That is the challenge…We obviously can’t record everything…but maybe 12 songs will make the final cut. Have a great HUMP day.

Dear Mr. MOM…

So my beautiful wife is feeling under the weather. So it was my duty to come home and be the saviour. Clean up, watch Diego, and do the usual Tuesday routine. We usually have movie night on Tuesday but that was postponed. So I took Diego with me to the store and that was great. It really was. Oh yeah, Diego has an ear infection. Not just in one ear, but in both. He’s a warrior. He hasn’t fussed once about it, nor has he been yanking at his ear.  Back to m evening. So I came back home, had dinner, well for a few minutes before Diego jumped on my lap. Dinner was then over for me, but on for him. He ate alot of the soup, which is great. Looks like he is getting over his cold and grumpy fever. He ate tons of soup and poured quite a bit on my diesel jeans. If that were some other kid, it would be on, but since it’s my little guy…no problem buddy.

So, I started to get him ready for bed when, tun tun tun tunnnnnnn! He had a dirty diaper. I am terrible at changing his diaper. I either suit him up to loose or too tight. Not to mention he squirms everytime i try and clean him. The cool thing is I clean him well, the bad thing is it is never with the wipes, rather my hand…”dang”. that little wet towel always slips of my hand. It knows what”s coming that’s why. Baby wipes are not dumb, they know what’s up. So after cleaning him I realized we were down to our last diaper. So off we go again to Publix. When we got back i tried to make room in our crowded fridge only for a bowl of jalapeños to crash onto the floor and the juice all over the place. Diego starts whaling, I’m frustrated, my toes are soaked in Jalepeño juice…what next. So i decide to mop the floor..that was a disaster..don’t ask. Lets just say as i emptied the bucket in the toilet it missed the target….Diego is in bed sound asleep, I am here in my living room sharing my story…I just pray Diego sleeps all night….I have a long and full day tomorrow. Nevertheless I love it!!! All in a days, few hours of Mr. Mom… Mommy, please get well….yesterday!!!

sincerely,

Dada…

The Blog Wars…

Yeah, so I am not sure what to blog about today. My creative juices are overflowing to the point where I can’t focus on what I want to focus on. So I have decided to not focus on anything. Just listening to music, working on a set list for Sunday, and finding other creative shenanigans to get myself into. Maybe tomorrow I will have something worth reading on my blog.

These heavy hitters were rambling today about how great their blogs are. Mr. Chris Day often reminds me of his multiple war tactics in the Blog world, and how he plans to overtake the blog world as a whole. I think Chris actually measures the oxygen he breaths every day! Phil has all the answers to just about everything…I’d rather not get into debate with Phil…LOL. I gotta admit their blogs are great. So having said that, Chris Day feels my Blog should be a little more consistent and entertaining like his.  So after a long heated conversation with Chris( I am surprised we didn’t start throwing fists) he has convinced me of closing down my blog because his is better…What do you guys think? Does my blog have hope for better days in the blog world? You decide!!!

From the Stage…

Photobucket
Gotta admit it was a rough start this morning. We have this saying that if things are gonna break it will be on Sunday. Well, nothing broke but a few technical difficulties dominoed a bit right before we kicked it off at 8:30am. Then as soon as a strummed the first chord my guitar, I had no sound. The pedals were on, I was all connected, and nothing. The crew quickly came together and put a mic on my acoustic. I was sweating bullets but tried my best to keep calm and collective and keep the momentum going, Which is a tough thing to do considering what was going on.

The great thing is we have a top notch crew that patched up the leaks and we moved forward stronger then ever. It’s not easy leading 3 services but it’s an awesome rush! And soon enough we’ll be at four and possibly a 2nd site. Did I just say that out loud? oops.   I gave our announcements live from the announcement booth with our media person today( My adopted Daughter)! It was really cool. Did anyone think it was a video? Thanks Juanita for all your help and input.

We had a great crowd today and it is awesome how people are coming to Know Jesus here in Homestead. Keep inviting your friends!!! Join in the madness.

The things that got us here will not get us to the next level. If we are not moving forward then we are either going backwards or no where at all.  As we move forward on this journey we gotta be stretched, challenged and crushed in order to reach the true potential and capacity within us! To those to have stepped up to serve, thanks!! You are a huge part of what goes on On Sunday.  Your excellence is  very much appreciated!!! Wanna join the crew? hit me up, I will tell you how. Still looking for a Program Director!
