Goodbye…

Photobucket
This will be my last blog of the year. 2008 totally flew by and I can’t believe its rapping up today. I’m sitting here at my desk reminiscing back at all the great times, rough times, amazing times, and challenging times this year brought. I am so thankful for everything and everyone that joined us on this 2008 journey. At the beginning of 2008 I had great expectations and sure enough the things that happened this year surpassed my expectations. I am trying to write down so much that happened this year but I’d be here all day doing so. All I can say is that I am grateful to God for his never changing love and mercy. I am thankful for my amazing wife and son Diego. I can’t wait to meet the new addition to the family. Reina and I faced some challenging moments this year, but we pressed forward and here we are. We had some of the greatest memories ever this year and we caught them on tape and in pictures. In 2008 i reconnected with some great friends…I am glad we crossed paths my friends! We lost some amazing friends on this 2008 journey, but we also gained so many more. To all those who remained by our side, we love you guys.

I don’t know what to expect in 2009. I think I will close my eyes and go and follow…Follow the dream…the passion…the love…of making a difference. Where that road leads…only God knows. In 4 days I venture off to Atlanta where we will keep working on the Anthems project for 2009. This project is going to be the launch pad and platform to so much more. It’s a good scary feeling. God calls us into a place where all we have is him. Our trust is in him. Our hands and feet are his. His eyes are our vision, his heart our dream. It’s not an easy road but one well worth the hike. There are alot of things stirring in my heart and I don’t know why…Soon enough I will share them. For now let’s take this journey together in 2009. Take pictures, enjoy the road ahead. Value everyone you run into. Go for it, give it all and live to the fullest. Say hello. Reach out. Go for what “seems” impossible. Give passion your full attention. I love what Erwin McManus says, “when you are passionate about God, you can trust your passions”. Hold on tight , it’s gonna be quite a ride.

Regardless we are Thankful for Jesus…Merry Christmas to everyone!

Photobucket
So here we are minding our own business. Heading home from the Mexico Market. (Mom’s making tamales tonight) when BOOM! CRASH! THUMP…Car accident. Our one and only faithful truck was smashed into by this dude that totally ignored his stop sign. All I remember is hearing Reina say something like “OMG HE TOOK THE STOP SIGN”, by then his front was smashed into my drivers side. When you’re in an accident it is hard to register anything, as if your body and mind go into a complete shock. My wrist feels a little strained,  Diego is good, Momma is good, just a little shookn up. My Pops on the other hand hit is head pretty hard. He had a bump on his forehead and the side of this head was a cut. The paramedics checked him out and thank God, nothing was serious. He did go to the homestead hospital to get his head and neck checked.

So we’re back here ready for the tamales and just chill with the family and have a great time. Reina and I are left without a vehicle until the insurance people do their job. It looks like our truck may not recover, she’s an oldy…faithful but oldy. So if there are any millionaires out there wanting to get rid of some of their cars of trucks, swing one our way!

It sucks and was a little frustrating but regardless, we are thankful for Jesus on this Christmas eve. Thing’s could’ve been worse, right? To everyone who reads this blog, have a merry merry Christmas.  This is a time of family and celebration. Please celebrate responsibly and PLEASE obey your street signs. They are there for a reason.

To our faithful Santoyo video watchers. We put a few videos that didn’t get aired for yah. Enjoy and see yah soon.

Yes, I'm still here…sorry been a little busy…

So it’s been 5 days since my last confession, I mean blog. This has to be the busiest time in my life ever. It’s been great. Not sure what life will look like in 2009, one thing is for sure, it will be memorable. I gotta admit, Christmas in South Florida, feels a little weird. But after hearing how cold it is in Chi-town, I have no comment. My parents flew into town last night, that should tell you something. They’ll be here a few months so that should be fun. This weekend my bro and his crew will be here through the new year. We’re gonna have a full house, but it will be a blast. The cool thing is grandma and grandpa are in town so Reina and I can plan some dates again…Movies, weekend getaways, dancing, music…cool stuff. We celebrated this past weekend with Cristian and Jennifer at their wedding. We had a great time.Photobucket
…that’s it for now. I am just finished wrapping up Mommas gifts…I am terrible at it…

I am super excited about our Album releasing in the Spring. If you still don’t know what its about this diagram should let you know.

Hasta la proxima…

Photobucket
So it looks like we’ve hit the last note on this record, until January that is. Tomorrow night we head back to our homes in Nashville, Springfield, Austin, and Miami after being here in Atlanta for 2 weeks. Its been great. I can’t wait to see Reina and Diego. This is the longest I have been away from them. Someone asked what was my favorite song so far on this album. I have to say my favorite song is “Sail away”…So far that is, but then again…The whole record is off the hook.  We know you guys are gonna dig this record and embrace it. Until then, stay tuned and continue to tell your friends about “Anthems for a broken World“.  Paz

Phase 1

Photobucket
Phase 1 is coming to a close. We’ve been tracking live strings and adding a few more elements here and there. We got to chill a little bit with Nick from Salvador and his wife Jaci Velasquez and their boy Zealand. Cool times. Tomorrow night will be a sad day as we depart. TSP and Chris Bevins  will return in January with a few invited guests from all over the country, but we say “until next time” to Josh and Jeremy Larson. I just gotta say that Josh totally “kilt” it on the bass. The tracks are amazing. We are still in the market for a full time bassist, but I must warn you…the bass on this record is off the chain!!!  Jeremy Larson took TSP to a whole new level musically on this record. A creative Genius. Jeremy Larsons new album dropped today so check it out here. This has set the tone for amazing future records. Chris Bevins!!!! Dude, you are amazing bro. A conservative Genius that brought the best out of TSP, and ran this studio with his eyes closed.  Tomorrow we focus more on strings, drum loops and guitars. After that we pack up our gear and had back home.  It’s been an amazing journey thus far…To think this is just the beginning. LOL. We shall return to do vocals, more guitars and begin the mixing process in January…

We want to thank our LPC family back home. Without your support, faith and prayer we couldn’t have done this. I look forward to seeing you guys this weekend!!! To our families who have supported us since day one…we miss you and love. One more day and we shall return.

It’s been really cool how the buzz about the Anthems project has begun. People are talking about the global music movement that is in formation. This is gonna be a huge missions project that will change the world in a big way. Soon you will hear how you can get involved. That’s it for now… Stay tuned and see ya soon.

You Choose…

Photobucket
So we finally tracked all the tunes and yes I have not shaved. Below is the list of all the songs that have been tracked. We want you to choose and decide what songs should make the record. If you had to choose 10 songs which ones would they be? And in what order? Now we go one by one through each track and add some cool stuff to them. Today pro tools went crazy and had some weird type of malfunction, turned out to be an amazing beat!!! We just added a marching kick drum on “Only You”. We also have a featured guest on the same song. “Only You” is the first song I ever wrote for The Saturn Project. Its because of that tune, the band began. So what are your song choices? -fuser+

SET LIST:
Time
Time Prelude
So Alive
Waiting
Home
Dynamite
U turn
Butterfly
Sail away
Silas
Chicago
Beautiful stranger

Only You

Anthems in the making…

PhotobucketPhotobucket
This is by far the greatest project we have ever taken on. The songs you know have come to life and those that have been dead are resurrected. Maybe we are being too biased or maybe we finally found our DNA. Jeremy Larson and Chris Bevins have challenged this band beyond what we anticipated. You walk into the studio with expectations and at the end of the night we realized our own expectations could fit in a glass of water, but the reality now is this project could possibly fill the ocean if we let it. We’ve made home made demos for years, we’re recorded in basements, kitchens, bathrooms, and to finally record in a studio of this caliber is quite and experience and Blessing only God could have orchestrated. We’re grateful to all the amazing people surrounding this project who will be a vital entity in the making of a global movement. Not just music, but music with movement. I hope our faithful fans are excited about “anthems for a broken world” as we are. Here are some early notes on some of the music we’ve been crafting…
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

“Waiting”- a song that has been shelved since 2004. After 3 takes we decided to drop it and not add it to the record but within minutes it took a rebirth. It is a simple Love song about waiting for that right moment and embracing it. This song is gonna make you jump out of your seat and dance. It’s rich melody and electric harmonies stirs your emotions from left to right. This song has a very simple structure but it is definitely the song you want on your next soundtrack. I don’t see it getting old.

“Silas”-another guitar driven song screams “revolution” all over it. The song inspired by the book of Acts chapter 17: 22-35. With a strong bass line with a dark hook. A drum beat that can stand on its own if it had nothing else. This tune will break the chains and set you free. Our featured guest on this track will give it a street Hip vibe…

That’s all for now, start spreading the word on the “anthems project”…We’re coming to a city near you…
