So today I walked down this hall, into a production area where I would stand in front of a few cameras, a casting director, blazing hot lights and audition for my first spoken commercial ad… I went over my lines a few 100 hundred times all day today. I was super nervous at first. You always start thinking, “Will I forget my lines, Will I have new lines to improv to, Will my voice crack, will I trip and fall as I walk in the door and knock over all the cameras and lights?” LOL…
But everything went smooth and quick. I walked right in, stood in front of the cameras, and cue cards that were prepared for the talent. Cool thing is…I didn’t need them. I memorized all my lines! It felt like a great audition. Now I wait to hear or not hear anything at all. It’s the beauty of this business. Tomorrow is another day, with another audition possibility, another opportunity to land that role…
