Reina has encouraged me to start running again. I haven’t ran in a while, other than the quick basketball game I will play from time to time. I have terrible knees! My knees have not been the same since high school. I had a few injuries to my knees that apparently had no clue I had to begin with. Last year a sports doctor broke the news to me. Signs of injuries remained and were clearly shown in the x rays. After the news, I took myself to an acupuncturist who put a few needles into my right knee…Believe it or not I have not felt any more pain on that knee since then… My left knee is another story… I better do the same to that one soon!
All that to say, it’s been great to slowly run and power walk again. Reina and I take a few hours a day to run, walk and talk. It has been awesome. I think we’ve engaged in conversations we never have before. We’ve spent an amazing amount of quality time then we ever had before. We’ve never done this before. Not only has this been healthy for our bodies but healthy for our marriage. We look forward to it everyday! I recommend it! Save your life and marriage by running together. This evening we took our boys with us to the gym. Diego stretched as he watched me stretch. As I power walked, he power walked. (wish I had pictures)I think we did a few miles. It’s been all about creating new culture and it’s been awesome. Signing out! my body is aching….
Peace out.

From time to time I will actually get the urge to cook for my crew. I am an artist by nature so…I can’t just cook by the book, I have to experiment with spices, vegetables, meats and fruits and throw my own twist on them. I don’t taste the food as I cook either… I make it and serve it. My excuse? “I am not a real chef”. It’s a risk we all take every time I cook. Everyone is still alive so that is a good thing. I must be doing something right. Tonight’s featured item on the menu was “shrab tacos”. Tacos filled with crab meat and shrimp grilled and seasoned to “Santoyo” perfection. Bits of avocado, mango, cilantro and scallions, and a few other spices. Dinner was a success. I am really enjoying this cooking business.. Just don’t tell my wife I said that…She is still the master cook. Who knows, maybe I will open up a taco joint here in town for fun and kicks… Custom Eclectic tacos at your service…Would you come eat there if you know I designed the menu? What should I call the taco mobile?
