Hats

I’m known to always wear hats. I am not bald, I don’t have a funny shaped head and I am not trying to cover up another bad hair cut. I just enjoy wearing them. I sometimes forget what I look like without a hat. Hat’s are just part of my everyday life… I just hope it ain’t the reason why my hair feels thin! Being a father, a husband and a professional requires a hat. I recently took on a temporary project for a pretty cool company in town and I love the fact that I can rock my hats while I work! Diego has been following in my footsteps by wearing hats too!

The other hats I wear are as an actor, producer, filmaker, writer, leader, musician, Campus coordinator, songwriter and editor…to name a few. The constant battle I have is which one to wear the most of. There are a few that I wear often and others I’ve kept on the shelf. I’ve been on a journey discovering more of who I am, and what I was created to do. I am very passionate about the hats I wear, and I am sure as this journey continues I will find others. My creative process of hat decisions is very chaotic…But after all is said and done, I can’t have one without the other.

FriendsHope&Africa on my Wall.

This past Sunday at Rocketown, we had artist Lisa Gardiner join us for the evening. That night she painted an amazing piece of art. Reina and I stood in front of the painting and talked about how amazing of painter Lisa Gardiner is… The following day she was selling the painting for $200.00 with all the proceeds going towards a missions effort in Africa. Which I thought was awesome! Well it turns our very good friends saw the painting online and bought it! It doesn’t end there…

Tuesday evening my good friend Lance called me to tell me he wanted to talk to me. To our surprise, he and his wife Jamie, felt the urge to buy the painting and surprise us with it! So the painting now hangs in our front room! Sometimes it’s moments like this that get us through another day!  It hangs on my wall now to remind me of hope, love and assurance of this path we are on. So grateful for our friends and this journey. Your love and support is priceless!

Crosspoint Downtown Launches!!!

This past Sunday night, Crosspoint launched it’s 5th campus and their first in downtown Nashville…I still have no words to describe the feeling I had and have  about that night…We had an amazing turn out, the volunteers were the Rock stars of the night, the band tore it up on stage, the staff did what they do best to launch yet another amazing campus, Pete the revolutionary spoke truth! Not to mention he spoke it 5 times in one day!

Now me?, geez I am the new kid on the block, fortunate and blessed to be part of this killer dream team and help coordinate and lead this campus. How the heck did this happen!? Not sure, but we are making the best of it and making a difference for Christ here in town.  Every Sunday night at 8pm Live at Rocketown…Be there!

Here are a few ridiculously amazing pictures shot by our very own  @brittanyleighs ! of our official launch. Check them out..
