The Mind of a Child.

Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

It makes total sense. So what is a child like? Well for one, they hold no record of wrong. Well at least with the kids I have seen it’s that way. My nieces and nephews would fight all the time over toys but they could not live without each other. They’d pick on each other, but if someone else put their 2cents in, there would be a problem. They protected each other all the time no matter what. They hold no grudges and they are pretty quick to forgive and forget.”ouch!”
They are spontaneous, they react on instinct. They know what they want and they go for it without questions. When Diego See’s the remote control he is determined to get it. He will twist and turn just to get it. His eyes never leave the remote. They’re focused on the goal.(hmmm) A child sleeps, wakes, eats, and goes on knowing that it will be that way. They don’t know how the food is going to get there, or who is bringing it, but they know it will be there. They don’t worry, they just expect it be… If that isn’t a great example of faith then I don’t know what is! A child has this crazy imagination. They dream far beyond reality. They think anything is possible. That is where the question “why?” comes into effect. Why? but why? but why Dad? Why can’t we? Whay can’t we fly?..there has to be a way.” Funny thing is, there always is a way!  Children make the best of any situation. Diego can be half a sleep, really hungry or really cranky, yet he finds a way to smile at his mom and his dad. If we did that, our lives and of those around us would be so different. Don’t you think? These are just a few qualities found in Children. God created them that way for a reason, but it seems many of us lose those child like forces when we get older and mature. Maybe God is trying to remind us through children day in and day out?  Could that very well be what Jesus meant in that scripture? Makes you think…Or am I wrong? I think we can learn alot from our children…
