There was this constant battle inside. Do we remain safe and in our circle of Comfort? Or do we break out into the wildest journey ever towards our passions and dreams? If you don’t pay attention to the passionate creative pulse you have inside, your soul will always hurt and feel incomplete. You know, when you sit at home at night and wonder… What’s next? Is this all to my life? When is the right time? Will it ever just happen? If you keep doing life the same, you can definitely expect the same results. If you believe otherwise, you will go insane.

Comfort will always tug a war with your soul and dreams. Your passions and dreams come with a very tough journey and price. There is no way around that fact. One of my favorite authors said, ” when you are passionate about God, you can trust your passions.” We let go of our comforts long time ago. I wish I can say it’s been glamorous, but it hasn’t. It’s been the toughest but most rewarding experience in my life thus far. Someday I’ll share detailed stories of it. Is it guaranteed? By “it” I mean our hopes and dreams? No. But it’s been worth giving it a shot and making stories and memories for our family and children. It’s an exciting time and a wild ride my friends.

Some people are expecting it. Others get it unexpected. Some get it early on. Others get it later on. You can try to avoid it all you want, but it’s inevitable. It will find you wherever you are. It will happen, and when it does your life will never be the same again. When it calls, you will know it is for you.

3-kids and a dream…

Life happens. It happens really fast. You only get one shot at it. If you think and analyze it too much, you run the risk of missing out on it. You gotta dive in and take a risk. Chances are it will be the toughest decision you have ever made for you and your family… But it will probably be the greatest decision you have ever made. 3yrs ago I felt like a failure. 2yrs ago it felt like nothing would ever happen. 1yr ago my electricity was shut off, my car note piled up but we kept going and moving forward believing in the dream inside. 10months ago this adventurous journey resulted in Reina and I making another baby! … It wasn’t planned! We were scared and shocked at first, but we embraced the little person that would be joining our crew and can’t wait to meet him!

You can’t stop life. It keeps on moving. Often times we’re the one’s that stop living. More then ever though, we’re inspired to move forward towards our dreams and goals as husband&wife, parents, artists, creatives and ordinary folks wanting to make a difference. Thing’s have been slowly coming together for us. Hard work always pays off…it just takes T I M E. It’s ok to be scared. This road get’s lonely. But in the end, it is worth every second. Trust me… We’re right in the middle of it!

2 yrs ago my wife and 2 boys took a permanent journey to Nashville TN. It’s been one of the scariest journey’s ever, but we knew this was the city we yearned in our hearts. Since then, it’s been non stop work to stay afloat but keeping our spirits up amidst the challenges of living in a new city. We literally almost left Nashville multiple times. When money starts fading, doors seem to close the dreams seem to start fading away. But we stuck it out! We kept doing what we were doing and knew there was a special reason we were destined to be in Nashville TN. When you are a new artist in a town like Nashville, it is super tough! You are surrounded by artists who are a million times more talented then you. You can easily get discouraged and throw in the towel. But you have to just follow your heart and gut and keep doing what you love and remaining true to yourself. When we first moved to Nashville we discovered a Radio station that I totally enjoy listening to every morning. I told Reina at the time, “could you imagine hearing my music on this station one day!?” Her response, “It will happen, you’ll see.” Sure enough that day came!

Special thanks to Lightning 100 for featuring my self titled EP “-fuser+” on their Local Lightning Spotlight! Please tune in all weekend and listen to my single “Someday.” Call in and request it as much as you want and can. Thanks again to everyone for all the love and support! There is still tons of work to do, but it feels great to get the support from friends, family and strangers! I will keep pumping out music for your ears as long as I have breath in me!

I know my blog has been a bit quiet for some time now! For those who faithfully read! Thanks for sticking around~!!! It’s been an insanely busy few weeks from the Santoyo headquarters, but we’re so grateful for it! The next few weeks are dedicated to lounging out with my crew, watching the NBA, eating tons of great Puerto Rican food, reading and a whole lot of nothing to get ready for 2012. So, I thought I’d write one last blog until 2012!

This Month we made our 2yr anniversary as Nashville Residents. I can’t believe how fast time has gone! Seems like just yesterday we made our way into a new city. A TON has happened since! We’ve been fortunate to have survived in a new city for 2yrs.

I was able to work a ton of odd jobs and pay our bills. Some months better than others

Reina has kicked major butt yet again at Watkins School of Art and Design! She is an amazing artist and designer!!! Hire her! She’ll hook up your place! Reina is a rock-star! Full time student, amazing wife and mother… All while being prego with # 3!!! You deserve a cruise next year!

We made a new baby boy! His name will be ___________ __________ Santoyo.

I was super fortunate to serve at our home church Cross Point and help launch a college campus in downtown Nashville! Definitely an amazing season and journey. A very special thanks to Justin Davis, Jenni Catron, Wayne Baird and Stephen Brewster for being part of our journey in a HUGE way! Thanks for helping us feel like home @ CP while away from home!

Diego started Pre K this year! My boys are growing up too too fast!

To our Community group! You guys are awesome. Thanks for making Tuesday night’s an evening to look forward to every week.

I was finally able to produce and record my first ever SOLO music project. If you haven’t picked it up get it HERE! It’s also a great Christmas present, so don’t be selfish! Buy it for your friends and family too!

Special thanks to some amazing friends that were part of my EP. Couldn’t have done it without your brilliant talents and passion! Chris Bevins, Jeremy Larson , Roy Mitchel Cardenas, Leif shires, Craig Swift, Amanda Young, Eliot Torres, and my great friend and live show companion Erika Hastings!!! This is just the beginning.

In Early November my Momma suffered a stroke in Chicago. She fought hard for her life and won! So grateful for her strength and the power of prayers!!! She is a walking Miracle! Thank you for all who prayed for my momma!

So much has happened in 2011. Nothing has been easy, but it’s been an amazing journey for Me, Reina, Diego & Zion. I look forward to meeting our new baby boy and welcoming him into our beautiful chaos!

I wish EVERYONE a Merry Christmas. Please take time to remember the true meaning for this season!

I am looking forward to the new stories, chapters, opportunities challenges and blessing in 2012!!!
