One of the major challenges of being new in a city is not knowing anyone. We were fortunate to know a handful of people before arriving which directed us towards the in’s and out’s of Nashville. That helped alot. But the greater task was still at hand. Connecting in the community of faith, artists, designers, dreamers, visionaries, musicians, etc… It’s not easy but it’s definitely pushed us in our social and network skills.

We’ve met tons of new people and it’s been great. We’ve been connecting and making new leads in our careers here in Nashville TN. We’re still in survival mode and making it though another month until we land some solid gigs. We connected at great Church here in Nashville called “crosspoint church”. Great place, great people! We try and hook up with our community group as often as possible resulting in meeting new people.

Bottom line is this. You can’t be afraid of a new challenge. Take it on, head on with no looking back. Lots of foot work to be done initially, but the pay off is so much greater in the long run. Get out there, connect, meet new people, share your story, your music, your idea…Be consistent! Be yourself! and watch it happen.
